Why is an inspection necessary?

An inspection is necessary to determine if there are any issues within the system. We talk with the homeowner to ask questions and address any concerns. If there are no concerns from the homeowner, our inspection process begins.

We determine which level of inspection needs to be performed in order to properly clean the dryer vent. We base this decision off of a visual inspection and what the homeowner has stated.

Level 1 Inspection:

A level one inspection is conducted when:

  1. The homeowner states there are no issues with the system
  2. A visual of the venting system has no cause for concerns
  3. When we are servicing a returning customer

Level 2 Inspection:

A level two inspection is conducted when:

  1. The homeowner states there are issues with the system. (The dryer is hot to the touch, it takes multiple cycles to dry a load of clothes, the laundry room area is moist/mildewy)
  2. A visual of the venting system has cause for concerns. (Slinky foil hose, crushed pipe, pipes fastened together using screws, etc)
  3. When we cannot get a proper airflow reading once the cleaning has taken place

What does a Level 1 Inspection consist of?

A level one inspection consists of a checklist including a visual inspection, pictures, measurements, camera scope, and airflow readings before and after the service to ensure proper efficiency. Your invoice will include all pictures and checklist items.

What does a Level 2 Inspection consist of?

A level two inspection consists of a lengthy checklist including a visual inspection, pictures, back pressure reading, measurements, camera scope, and airflow readings before and after the service to ensure proper efficiency. A repair, replacement, or reroute of vent pipe or other items may be needed or suggested during this time. Your invoice will include all pictures and checklist items.
